The table below shows annual pay for covered workers by county for 2024 and 2025. The county with the highest annual pay for 2025 was Union County at $74,557.
Almost all South Dakota’s counties experienced increases in annual pay. The highest percentage gains occurred in Todd, Haakon, Harding, and Bon Homme counties. The largest actual numeric gains occurred in Todd, Haakon, and Lincoln counties.
