National Career Readiness Certificate

ACT® WorkKeys assessments, required to earn a National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC™), are available to those who are eligible and enrolled in a DLR workforce program with funding for the service.

The NCRC is a credential that shows an individual has the skills needed for success at work. It is recognized by many employers and can be used in different jobs and industries. The NCRC shows that an individual can:

  • Solve problems
  • Think critically
  • Read and understand work-related information
  • Use information from workplace documents to find answers
  • Use math to solve work-related problems
  • Set up and complete math calculations used on the job
  • Understand information shown in charts and graphics
  • Compare and make sense of information from several graphics

Individuals can earn an NCRC by taking the three WorkKeys assessments employers view as the most important for doing well on the job. Assessments are based on real situations that might happen at work:

You can learn more about each assessment and view sample questions on the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate website.
