Unions
The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation may only handle union issues associated with South Dakota's public employees. For these unions, it handles mediation of contract disputes, as needed, and also disputed union elections. More information is available in public employment.
The Department does not deal with private unions or federal employees. Information on this type of union may be found at the National Labor Relations Board.
