South Dakota Career InSite

The South Dakota Career InSite online career exploration tool formerly available from the Labor Market Information Center is no longer available due to decreased budgets and increasing costs. If you had Career InSite set as a favorite or bookmark, please delete it.

As an alternative, the South Dakota Career Interest Survey (SDCIS), which was a component of the former South Dakota Career InSite, is now available in Microsoft Excel format. After completing the SDCIS and learning which career interest areas they scored the highest in, individuals can then see our Exploring Occupations of Interest page to select specific occupations of interest (based on SDCIS responses). Each occupation is linked to the virtual labor market data system, where the individual can find a wealth of information about that specific occupation--from education required and job duties to projected employment and wage estimates.
