Producer Information

A producer is any person required to be licensed under the laws of South Dakota to sell, solicit or negotiate insurance. The term "producer" replaces any previous reference to agents or brokers.

The terms "sell", "solicit" and "negotiate" are used throughout the licensing laws and information on this website and are used to determine when a license is required. See definitions of these terms.
