  • of completion should not be mailed to the Board. Physical submissions will not be accepted.
  • Licensees must certify the accuracy of their PDH log under penalty of perjury.
  • If selected for audit, supporting documentation must be submitted within 30 calendar days of notification.

How to Submit:
Please email your completed PDH log in PDF format to: sdbtp@state.sd.us.

All professional licenses issued by the Board expire two years after the date of issuance and become invalid unless renewed by that date. Any licensed professional engineer, architect, land surveyor, landscape architect or petroleum release assessor or remediator who desires to continue to practice or offer to practice the licensee's profession in South Dakota must complete the renewal process. Also, any business entity holding a certificate of authorization from the Board must renew that certificate of authorization to continue to practice or offer professional services in South Dakota. The Board will send an email reminder notice to licensees two months prior to expiration of their license; however, it is the licensee's responsibility to renew the license on time to avoid late renewal penalty fees and to continue to practice the profession in South Dakota.
