Preparing for WorkKeys Assessments

ACT WorkKeys Curriculum is an easy-to-use online platform that helps individuals build the skills measured by the WorkKeys assessments. It allows learners to check their potential scores using placement quizzes, review key topics in self-paced lessons, and answer practice questions similar to those on the real assessments.

Taking WorkKeys Assessments

WorkKeys assessments must be taken in person at a Job Service office. Assessments are proctored to make sure results are valid and reliable. You cannot take the assessments online or at home.

To earn an NCRC, you must take and pass three WorkKeys assessments: Applied Math, Workplace Documents, and Graphic Literacy. These assessments measure important workplace skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and understanding written text and graphics. You must score at least a Level 3 (Bronze) on each assessment to earn a certificate.

Sharing Your Certificate with Employers

You can share your certificate with employers in person, on your resume, or when filling out job applications. Log into your online account to share your certificate electronically and manage your information. If you cannot access your online account, please call ACT at 800.967.5539 for help.
