National Career Readiness Certificate | Educators

Educators

The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC™) is no longer funded by the state. However, if districts are interested in providing the WorkKeys assessment for students related to earning an NCRC, they may do so by contacting Jerome Williams with ACT.

Prices for WorkKeys assessments (Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents) vary depending on testing mode of paper/pencil or online.

Note: The NCRC is no longer part of the College/Career Readiness Indicator on schools’ Accountability Report Cards. However, students who earn an NCRC of Silver or higher may count them as an industry-recognized credential toward the Advanced Career Endorsement for high school graduation requirements.

For questions on accountability, contact doe.accountability@state.sd.us.

For questions on high school graduation requirements and the Advanced Career Endorsement, contact Tracia Rentsch.

For questions on the NCRC and to schedule WorkKeys assessments, contact Jerome Williams with ACT.
