South Dakota Abstracters' Board of Examiners
Fee Schedule
Pursuant to South Dakota Codified Law (SDCL) 36-13-25, the Abstracters’ Board of Examiners shall establish a schedule of fees for doing business. The Board shall furnish to each licensee a copy of the fee schedule and any amendments.
Any licensed abstracter must, if requested to do so, itemize a bill to show what was charged for abstract work. If the abstract work pertains to a multiple set of abstracts and the fee charged is the same for each of the abstracts in the set, the abstracter needs only itemize once and note in the statement that the itemization applies to each of the abstracts in the set.
Contracts for abstracting work based upon the fee schedule and estimates of work involved, using a per unit price that has been negotiated, may be entered into with any governmental agency that requires such unit pricing for planning budgetary or regulatory reasons.
