Frequently Asked Questions About Upgrading Certification

As a State-Registered Appraiser, must I upgrade to State-Licensed Appraiser, then to State-Certified Residential, and then finally up to the State-Certified General classification?

No. It is not mandatory for a State-Registered Appraiser to upgrade to the State-Licensed Appraiser classification. A State-Registered Appraiser may upgrade to State-Certified Residential or State-Certified General.
