Total Population Data

Annual population figures for 1900 through 2021 are available for the following areas:

United States | South Dakota (statewide, the default option) | County | Metropolitan Statistical Area | Census Places | OR you may select an area from a map.

Additionally, 2022 data are available for United States and statewide South Dakota.

Population Demographics Data

Additionally, population estimates by age and gender for the years 2015-2018 from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey (ACS) are available in the virtual system for the following areas.
