Overpayments

The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation administers the Unemployment Insurance (UI) program. The UI Division pays benefits to unemployed workers and collects UI tax from employers. The Division makes every effort to properly collect taxes and pay benefits. Part of that effort is to prevent, detect and collect overpayments.
