Unemployment Insurance Benefits
Register for Work
All individuals filing for unemployment insurance benefits are required to register for work with the designated workforce agency in the state you reside in, unless you are otherwise instructed. South Dakota claimants are automatically registered with the state’s online employment database, SDWORKS, at the time your claim is filed.
Your failure to register with your designated workforce agency within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of your claim filing may result in a loss of benefits. You may be asked to submit proof of your registration. For help in locating your state workforce agency contact Customer Service at 605.626.2452.
