Unemployment Insurance Benefits
Payment Methods – Debit Card or Direct Deposit
All unemployment benefit payments are made electronically. The State of South Dakota partners with Comerica Bank to provide unemployment claimants with the Way2Go Card Debit Mastercard. Your benefits will be automatically deposited to your card. For more information about the debit card or to report a lost/stolen card, contact Way2Go Card Customer Service at 844.893.3123 or goprogram.com.
Direct deposit is also available into your own checking or savings account. To enroll in direct deposit, log into your online unemployment account at www.sd.uiclaims.com and select the “Change Payment Method” option on the main menu. A direct deposit form is also available upon request by contacting Customer Service at 605.626.2452 or by downloading the Direct Deposit Form from our Forms page. If you complete the form you will need to mail or fax it in along with a voided check or copy of a check.
