Title - General Educational Development (GED)

Testing - Two-Year Score Limit

Each test score will remain valid for only two years from the date the test is scored. The five tests in the GED® testing set must be completed within the two-year period before the GED® certificate will be issued.

For example:

Your first test, the Writing test, is taken September 9, 2011. It is scored on September 15, 2011. All other tests must be completed and scored by September 14, 2013.

If you do not complete all five of the tests within the two-year period, the new two-year window will start with the second test you took and the first test, which has become inactive, will have to be taken again.

Please note: The new GED® assessment will be released in 2014. Test-takers who have not completed and passed all parts of the 2002 series GED® test by December 31, 2013 will need to re-take ALL parts of the new assessment.
